Where Are You Located?
The theatre is located on the rooftop carpark space adjoining the L.P. rooftop. Entry is via the E.P. & L.P. lobby at 603 N La Cienega Blvd, West Hollywood.
How Do I Access The Theatre?
Entry is via E.P. & L.P. at 603 N La Cienega Blvd, West Hollywood 90069. Take the elevator to level 2 and then you can enter the carpark via the L.P. roof-deck. There will be ample signage and staff to assist.
Where Do I Park?
Valet is available in the building structure below the cinema and is operated by United. The valet cost is $12 and United operates a cash only facility. Valet entry is at 621 N La Cienega Blvd, West Hollywood 90069, right next to Rise Nation. Street parking is also available. We do encourage traveling via a ride-sharing facility should you be thinking of having a drink.
is There Food Available?
Yes indeed - it’s a cinema! Popcorn, candy and much more. We also have a pre-movie restaurant deal at E.P. on level two for $65 (that includes the movie, dinner plus Tax & Tip). Click HERE for details.
All dinner & movie guests will be accommodated in the restaurant before 7pm to get you out with plenty of time for the feature in your allocated seat.
Popcorn, candy and other theatre snacks are available for purchase and consumption throughout the movie. These include chocolate, candy, ice-cream and cinema snack boxes.
Are The Seats Allocated?
The only way to get an allocated seat is to purchase a dinner and movie package and we will reserve seats for your group while you dine and don’t have to rush in.
Doors open at 7pm to the cinema and it’s first in first served. Come enjoy the sunset.
Can I Order And Consume Alcohol During The Movie?
Absolutely. Drinks can be ordered at the adjoining L.P. bar before, during and after the movie. Just like any cinema, we kindly ask that you be mindful of other cinema guests when moving in and out of your seats and to keep disruption to a minimum.
We also have some great wine bottle packages so you can recline, relax and not miss a moment of your movie!
Opening Times/Screening Times?
The adjoining rooftop at L.P. opens daily at 5pm. Theatre access will be from 7pm daily. We screen all films at sunset, so the start time will vary slightly every day. For the summer period this is between 8.30pm and 8.40pm. We encourage you to come in early and have a cocktail and a meal before the film.
How Is The Theatre Set Up? What Can I Expect?
- We have worked tirelessly with our wonderful sponsors to bring you a Rooftop Theatre experience like no other - under the summer stars looking out upon the World-iconic skyline of the Hollywood Hills. We have transformed the adjoining L.P. Rooftop carpark into a premiere theatre experience with a state-of-the-art Da Lite 16’ x 19’ screen and VIP plush bean-bag seating. To ensure you have the best sound, each guest will take in the experience with a set of wireless headphones so you don’t miss a single beat. In addition to pre-movie dining packages and in-movie bottle packages, the Melrose Rooftop Theatre will be serving all your cinema popcorn and candy favorites. - You can choose to either print your tickets at home or download a barcode to your smartphone to be scanned at the entry of the Melrose Rooftop Theatre. Tickets will not be collected or scanned on the rooftop – please check in at the Lobby on the ground floor to get checked in.
- Melrose Rooftop Theatre is accessible to all guests with disabilities.
- Sorry, no pets permitted.
- Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas. No candles or open flames allowed.
Can I Get Access To L.P. After The Movie?
Absolutely! If we’re not at capacity when the movie finishes screening, you are more than welcome to stay on with us and discuss the film over a cocktail and late night snack.
All ticket purchases are final. Should you not be able to make it, feel free to give your tickets to your buddies, family or you can put them up on stub hub to send them to another home.
Should we need to cancel a screening due to unforeseen circumstances or dangerous weather conditions, we will be in touch regarding an alternate date for screening. Refunds will not be issued in any circumstances other than if we must cancel a screening and are unable to reschedule the event to an alternate time.
CAN I TRANSFER MY TICKETS?
You are more than welcome to transfer your tickets to another friend or sell them. When transferring please forward an email outlining new recipient to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can update the session guest list. You cannot however transfer them to another movie session at another time. Each session has it's own allocation of tickets and as such each session sale is final.
What Happens If It Rains?
We wish we could control the weather… unfortunately we don’t!
We cannot offer a refund unless, we, the organizer cancels the event and in those circumstances cannot offer an alternate date for screening.
If there are dangerous weather conditions at the screening location we will certainly look at rescheduling the event.
In the event a screening is cancelled, you will receive an email (at the email address provided when purchasing your ticket) notifying you of the cancellation from Melrose Rooftop Theatre and accordingly, we will also advise you of the alternate date your screening and tickets have been rescheduled to. Any cancellations will also be notified on our Melrose Rooftop Theatre website programming page in addition to any such announcements across our social media platforms.
We will do our utmost best to keep you fully informed during any circumstances that require a cancellation/rescheduling of an event. Luckily the Melrose Rooftop Theatre operates in the middle of Californian summer, so dangerous rainy conditions are as rare as a unicorn this time of year!
What Happens If I’m Late? Can I Enter After The Movie Has Started?
Yes, you may still enter the movie if you’re late. However, just like any cinema, we kindly ask that you be mindful of other cinema guests when arriving late and moving in and out of your seats by keeping any disruption to a minimum.
Tickets & Seats!
We utilize Eventbrite for all ticket purchases to the Melrose Rooftop Theatre.
This year the Melrose Rooftop Theatre is an ALL VIP experience with individual bean bags for all!
VIP : $27.50 - These are plush canvas bean bags. Incredibly comfortable and perfect if you’re looking to take your movie experience up a notch. One per person

What About Group Bookings?
You can purchase up to 10 tickets at a time, unless there are very limited tickets left for the session. Should you not be able to select a maximum of 10, the number you can select will be the remaining number of seats until the session is sold out. As seats are not pre-allocated with ticket sales, if you are with a group we recommend that you arrive as early as possible if would like to sit together. Unfortunately we do not offer group discounts at this time.
Can I Buy Tickets At The Venue Or Are Tickets Only Available Via TicketFly?
Tickets are available on Eventbrite until 6pm on the day of the release or until sold out. If the feature still has availability we will be selling tickets via the rooftop Box Office until the start of the movie.
Are Children Allowed?
As alcohol is present, The L.P. Rooftop and Melrose Rooftop Theatre are both 21+ years venues. Unfortunately, children and those under the age of 21 are not permitted.
I Can’t Make It… Can I Give My Ticket To My Friend?
No problem. You can send the ticket to your friend and they can bring it in and we’ll scan them in. We totally get it that sometimes sh#t happens!
I Lost My Physical Ticket
That’s cool. Your name is also on the list at the venue - just bring your ID.
Do I Need ID?
We’re a 21+ venue as alcohol is present so we advise that you bring your ID. If we ask you for ID don’t sweat it, we wish we looked as young as you.
I Didn’t Receive A Ticket Confirmation After My Purchase?
Please contact Eventbrite directly at https://www.eventbrite.com/support/contact-us or (855) 326-9945. You can also try logging into your account at eventbrite.com to retrieve your tickets.
We have an allocation of blankets and they are available on a first come first serve basis. If you feel the cold bring a sweater or you are welcome to bring your own covers too!
Are There Restrooms?
Yes, restrooms are available on site via the adjoining L.P. Rooftop
Can I bring any of my own food or alcohol?
Unfortunately not. All food and alcohol consumed at the Melrose Rooftop Theatre must be purchased on the premises.
